Yesterday I received the sad email from Nau announcing that they were closing their doors. I was just about to post a few product writeups! Their clothing is great, and for outdoor active wear they included just the right amount of design elements to make their clothing look different and unique.
I'll be doing some digging on why this company didn't make it. What elements in their production were not feasible? Was their environmental commitment not realistic in today's market? Why did "doing well by doing good" not work for Nau? Was it purely because of the economic slowdown?
I'll be posting some pictures and writeups about them anyway - Nau had some dedicated fans and some of these products may become collector items...
